The D.E.L.E is the official certificate of Spanish as a Foreign Language (equivalent to the IELTS and TOEFL for English) issued by the Instituto Cervantes for the Ministry of Education of Spain. It is often required by universities and employers to certify a foreigner's competence and command of the Spanish language. The preparation course is directed at all those who would like to prepare to take the D.E.L.E at any of the following levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2

Starter level : Diploma de Español Nivel A1
This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for a very basic range of the most commonly simple expressions used in the Spanish-speaking world and in order to satisfy inmediate needs of a concrete type.
Waystage / Elementary level : Diploma de Español Nivel A2
This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for understanding a basic range of the commonly simple and immediate relevance of expressions used in the Spanish-speaking world (basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Beginner level : Diploma de Español Nivel B1
This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for understanding and responding appropriately in most normal day-to-day situations and for expressing desires and needs in a basic way.
Intermediate level : Diploma de Español Nivel B2
This qualification validates sufficient linguistic ability to get by in average day-to-day situations in normal communication circumstances, which do not require specialized use of the language.
Superior / Proficiency level : Diploma de Español Nivel C2
This qualification accredits the necessary linguistic competence to integrate in situations requiring an advanced use of the language and knowledge of the cultural customs embedded within it.

Hola! I'm Julie, a 44 year old Chicago native. I have been taking classes on and off here since the fall of 2017. I love this place! I have had nearly every teacher at least once and can say unequivocally- these guys are great! There's lots of diversity amongst the staff - everyone brings something different to class. Not to speak of the kindness- especially in coping with my language related anxieties.
The management was wonderful also: super flexibility with my schedule and were always willing to find solutions if needed.

I was looking for a Spanish school not only serious but also interesting, Olé is exactly what I was looking for, like a big family, the teachers are very friendly and interesting. but we didn't play all the time, 9 months of studying here make my Spanish improved a lot, during the time I attended the class of preparaing DELE too, it was difficult but the teacher was good and had a lot experience, we practiced over and over again, finally I passed DELE B2.
